Arx Fatalis has evolved into Arx Libertatis, a revision of the original role playing game in which the good story is only the pretext, armed with the obvious technical improvements to the historic launch of another addictive video game. Note that Arx Libertatis is free.
Arx Libertatis recreates a time of castles and dungeons, knights and wizards, dragons and giant spiders, etc. The games in Arx Libertatis therefore have that genuineness and yet mysterious role play of an acclaimed medieval fantasy.
The game Arx Libertatis is evolving, but you can start to enjoy it by downloading a modest program of a little over 15 MB. And although it's in English, from the project website you can download the patch for a translation of this worthwhile RPG into other languages.
NOTE: The version of Arx Libertatis that's offered for downloading is compatible with 32-bit systems. If you wish, from the author's website you can download the version for 64-bit systems.
